After the pilot episode, Carl and Richard were called upon to test tonewoods more objectively. In The Martin Show, they test two Martin dreadnought-style guitars that, apart from the tonewood used, are exactly the same. The D18 has mahogany back and sides, and the D28 has East Indian Rosewood. You can hear and see the difference when Carl examines the frequency spectrum on the computer.
